Personally, fall is my favorite time of year and it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and enjoy nature.

Having lived in North Carolina for 17 years, I know firsthand it has some of the best outdoor camping in the United States. Especially, throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains and along the beaches of both North and South Carolina.

I will say though, although I’ve been camping many times, I’m not a fan of the typical tent camping. Glamping is more my thing. Even better at an RV luxury resort for sure!

If you’re ready to gear up for some outdoor wilderness fun, continue reading to get the lo-down on some of North Carolina’s best luxury RV parks. I’ll also share a few of my favorites along the Carolina coast.

In a luxury RV resort, you can expect to enjoy the beauty of camping with upscale luxury amenities. It goes beyond the standard sites and basic campground amenities.

The idea is to make your outdoor experience comfortable with conveniences similar to that of a luxury hotel. They often provide you with upgraded sites that enhance your RV (recreational vehicle) camping experience.

Luxury RV sites typically feature:

  • Spacious, well-maintained lots
  • Patios with outdoor furniture
  • Outdoor lighting
  • Gas fire pits
  • Long driveways

And almost all of them often come equipped with full hookup sites, including electricity, water, and sewer. Additionally, other luxury amenities may include free wifi, cable TV, laundry facilities, and modern bathhouses.

But what sets a luxury RV resort apart is the attention to the finer details —think landscaped grounds, infinity pools, fitness centers, golf courses, on-site fine dining, concierge services, and more. Some even offer a movie theater and miniature golf course.

It is the ultimate ‘glamping’ experience!
