Why I Decided to Take a Break from YouTube

Do what you love and you will never work another day in your life.

To a certain extent this rings true. Yes, when you do what you love, you love what you do so it doesn’t feel like work.

Dreams don’t just randomly show up. They manifest from the action steps you take and the effort you put forth. That means that no matter what, amidst the failures, trials and tribulations – YOU DON’T GIVE UP.

You just adjust your sails to keep going. Which is what I had to do when I decided to give YouTube a break.

At times all went well and at times they didn’t. But that isn’t what stopped me. What forced me to make the decision to stop was the sharp pain that had developed in my right arm which I’m pretty sure is inflammation. Sometimes it’s so sharp, it becomes unbearable. And I can take pain!

As a result, I found myself short changing my videos and looking for ways to make them shorter so that I didn’t have to spend long hours editing. My arm was hurting that bad but I knew that if I was going to keep doing YouTube, I couldn’t just let it dwindle to meaningless videos.

I’m the type of person who goes all in with anything I do so it didn’t feel right to me not giving it my all. YouTube is a full time job when you’re doing everything yourself – scripting, filming, editing, marketing, etc… It’s definitely not easy which is fine, but when it starts to affect my health, then that is when I have to draw the line.

So now, I’m working on healing and in the process I’ve started blogging again as you may have noticed. It makes me happy because it’s easier to share more with you. Plus, I love to write! I have no intention of stopping so be prepared to see a lot more on the bog! 😍

My blog is actually what I started out with when I began my entrepreneurial venture, but back then, it really didn’t have much meaning and most of what I posted was random. I also didn’t know what I was doing. I was lost, confused and directionless.

During that time, I tried all kinds of things which finally led me to creating videos on YouTube. I love making videos but right now, the editing is just too much. This coming after years of sitting behind a desk plugging away at the computer so I’m sure it wasn’t just the editing.

It’s been quite a journey and the journey continues…

I’ve explored.

I’ve fearlessly ventured out.

I’ve jumped without giving risk a second thought and I will continue to do so despite the challenges because…

  1. I know I deserve more
  2. I never want to work for anyone ever again
  3. I want to inspire others to live and create the life of their dreams without letting fear get in the way

Anything is possible as long as you want it bad enough so never think you can’t – Always know YOU CAN.

Health, wealth, financial and location freedom, happiness, peace, love… It’s ALL possible. It’s up to YOU to make it happen.
