Lets talk about the choices we have at the beginning of each day…
Each morning you start out with two choices:
1) to hit the snooze button and continue to sleep with your dreams
2) jump out of bed and pursue them relentlessly
Now, realistically, I understand you can’t just get out of bed and start working on your dreams. You have a job to go to, I know. Even harder if you have a family. I know this too because I’ve been there. I was a single teenage mom who decided to put my life on hold so that I can focus on raising my daughter.
BUT… If I could go back and do things differently, I would have made time around my job and my daughter to work toward my dreams, one day at a time; because at some point, your kids are going to leave and once they have their own lives going on, you can bet your boots they’re not going to stick around to help you build yours.
So, my advice? Start each day excited to make your dreams your reality and start working on them as much as you can with the knowing that with each new day, you are much closer to reaching them, than you were the day before.
All it takes is you finding what it is that fuels your soul, then, start taking daily consistent action toward aligning with it. Make strides every single day in any way you possibly can so that you can get closer to bringing your dreams to fruition and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t, because there is NOTHING you cannot do as long as you set your mind to it.
If it’s something you desire bad enough, you will do whatever it takes to make it happen. You would look forward to the pursuit of your dreams with each new day, that getting out of bed would be automatic. After a short while, you won’t even need an alarm clock.
How long it takes becomes irrelevant and you become so self-motivated that you will just keep on moving.
Doing nothing will get you nowhere. Meanwhile, the days, months, and years will continue to pass you by only to find yourself right back where you started. If you ask me, that is no way to live. We were meant to live a life we love and we have the very powerful ability to create it.
All you have to do is START.
This week start by writing down one goal you dream of achieving. It could be big or small. Everyone has different desires but whatever it is, don’t let fear keep you from setting it. Once you set that goal, break down the action steps you need to take in order to achieve it and start making strides toward reaching it, one day at a time, one step at a time.
Once you build momentum, there is no way you’ll want to look back!
