A Simple to Make Kale Salad

This week I’m taking it to the kitchen to show you how simple it is to make a healthy, nourishing, salad that will fill you up and keep you coming back for more!

This is my first of many recipe videos to come. My goal is to show you how simple it can be to eat raw, living, plant-based foods that promotes a true, healthy, cruelty-free way of life.

Here’s what you’ll need for this recipe –

Ingredients for the Salad:

3 large leaf bunches of kale
1 handful bunch of pea shoots (sunflower sprouts, microgreens or any other type of sprouts you can find will work – this is optional)
¾-1 cup red cabbage, shredded
1 tomato, diced
¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
1 small avocado, diced
1 lemon (1/2 for salad and 1/2 for dressing)
1/4 cup of dulse (or 2 tablespoons)

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium-large bowl.

Ingredients for the Dressing:

1 small avocado
½ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp Himalayan salt (or sea salt)

  • Scoop out avocado into a small bowl and mash up. Add in the seasonings, then mix well. Your dressing is ready! Pretty quick, huh?
  • Spoon dressing over your salad and voila! Your dinner salad is good to go!

When these elements are in sync and working in harmony together, your life comes together in harmony as well. And that’s the goal we all want to reach, isn’t it?

The key is to focus on making LIFESTYLE changes and ditch the idea of dieting. Dieting is only temporary and leads to much bigger complications than you’d expect.
