I Got Accepted into the RewardStyle Influencer Program

Many of you have been asking about what LIKEtoKNOW.it is and how to use it so I thought it’s time I wrote a post about it and what the RewardStyle program is all about. It’s been long overdue so I apologize for the late post!

As you may have noticed, I’ve been referring to the app LIKEtoKNOW.it in many of my Instagram posts. It’s a shopping app that connects to Instagram and allows you to shop influencer looks and styles as well as product finds and so much more.

You can learn more about it here.

This platform is a part of the RewardStyle Influencer Program which connects companies and brands to influencers and promotes affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing continuing to grow exponentially over traditional marketing the growth of this program opens up endless opportunities and is highly beneficial for everyone involved.

Affiliate marketing is the process by which an affiliate (in this case, myself) earns a commission for marketing another person’s or company’s products. The affiliate simply searches for a product they enjoy or believe in, then promotes that product and earns a piece of the profit from each sale they make. The sales are tracked via affiliate links from one website to another.

About a year ago, I learned about the RewardStyle program through other creators on Instagram and thought, “Hmm… This looks like it would be right up my ally.” I love to shop and I love everything ‘Lifestyle’ so maybe I could use it to my advantage and not only share things that I love, use and buy myself but to also teach people how to make more conscious lifestyle choices through inspiration. It was a no brainer!

I got excited and immediately explored their website with the hopes of being accepted. But after reading their requirements, my hopes dropped. I remember being intimidated by their 20k follower requirement because I was nowhere near that.

I should never have done what I did next…

I started looking through the accounts that were already in the program and comparing them to mine. And girl, there was no comparison. Their Instagram pictures were flawless and mine were amateur. I don’t have the hubby, friend or brother that can take pics for me nor did I have my own personal photographer so after reading those 2 requirements my hopes were shot and I never applied. I didn’t even try. Totally not like me but that’s what happened.

Sadly, I’m sure many can relate to the comparisonitis syndrome without realizing that we are each individuals with different life scenarios and different points in our journey.

Fast forward…

Back in December of 2020, I decided to give it another shot. I had been working hard on my pics and instead of trying to focus on so many things at once, I honed in on my blog and Instagram. It still wasn’t the best but it was beginning to come together.

And guess what? I was APPROVED!!

Excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I felt. I am beyond grateful to be a part of this program and amazing platform with so many opportunities to grow my career as a content creator, blogger, influencer and entrepreneur!

If you haven’t already, download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and follow me @sandracampillo_ ! It would mean so much to me. I share exclusive content around looks, favorites, home decor, product finds, and sales. I think you’ll enjoy it.

And if you’re on the app, give me a follow and share your profile name in the comments below. Let’s support each other! 🙂

Let’s rewind to the beginning

When I started Raw & Alive 5-6 years ago, my intention was for it to be a lifestyle blog but it ended up being more about food. I had been trying to transition more toward building a lifestyle brand for a long time but for some reason I kept finding myself stuck and directionless while exploring and venturing down other paths.

I tried my hand at YouTube and although I love making videos, I dislike editing greatly. Each video took me so long to create and edit that I was only able to upload one video a week leaving no room for anything else. I did it until I got burned out and my right arm began to painfully throb from being glued to my computer editing all day and night for days. It was terrible. Then, I stumbled across a video Shelby Church made on YouTube about blogging which I took as the sign I needed to shift my work. This was after praying for clarity and a sign to lead me down the path I’m supposed to go.

Although I already knew what I wanted to do, I still needed to be sure because I didn’t want to keep wasting anymore time. So, I asked. ASK and you shall RECEIVE!

And that my friend, is how it all started. I couldn’t be happier doing what I love and loving what I do. I believe that life is about changing and shifting, nothing ever stays the same. It’s about allowing yourself to be led by your higher power and letting go of the resistance that holds you back. We were meant to grow and evolve freely. It’s our nature.

It’s OK to explore and try things out but pay attention to your “feelings” and what feels good versus what doesn’t. Stop and connect within. That is where all the answers lie.

All you have to do is pay attention.

It’s in living consciously in thought and in action that we are able to create a life full of love, peace, kindness and compassion – For ALL living beings including Mother Earth.
