Also, don’t be mistaken with “cocoa” powder. That’s the JUNK stuff. Cacao is derived straight from the source – the cacao bean which has an abundance of health benefits.

Fall green smoothie recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups of baby kale leaves (or 2 medium kale leaves)
- 3-4 pieces of broccolini
- 1 persimmon
- 4 frozen bananas
- 2 medjool dates, pitted
- 1 avocado
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 2 tbsp flaxseeds (ground or whole)
- 1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)
- 1 cup water (I highly recommend distilled)
- 2 tbsp cacao nibs (topping)
– In your Vitamix or high speed blender of choice, add all ingredients to the blender except for the cacao nibs.
– Blend until smooth and creamy.
– Add more water as needed.
– Pour into a 32oz mason jar and top off with cacao nibs, mulberries, coconut flakes or any other topping you desire.
Enjoy this nutrient dense deliciousness without the guilt!
Note: If you don’t like chocolate, that’s OK. Just eliminate this ingredient from the recipe. It will still taste just as good.
