What is “mindful eating?” Something most stru What is “mindful eating?” Something most struggle with. I intentionally chose to eat my lunch at the park today just so I could enjoy a refreshing meal while being out in nature. Not only was I savoring my meal, I was serenaded by the birdies and in tune with nature. 🦅🦋 Mindful eating is the practice of eating with intention and paying attention to your food, bite by bite while having a sensual experience and awareness of your food. 🌱🥭🥑🍊🍎🥝🥥🍌 It doesn’t mean, playing on your phone, working on your computer, talking on the phone (or in-person), or watching TV while eating. By being more mindful and connecting with the colors, the lusciousness and nourishing food, you boost the digestive process, maximize nutrient absorption, and you open yourself up to healing - Mind and body.✨ I’ll be creating a mini IGTV vlog around what I ate for lunch today to give you some insight on how easy it is to be mindful and eat healthy, hydrating food while being on the road. This among many others are a disgusting form of ‘entertainment’ and a disgrace to human kind. Know that there is nothing good or entertaining about unnecessarily harming animals and putting them through a living hell for profit and greed. And for the dog lovers, This includes dog races. But first… Let me take in some sunshine! 🌞 But first… Let me take in some sunshine! 🌞 If you watched my story this morning, you’ll know how I feel about mornings and how I started my day.😊 It’s always a perfect start when the sun is shining and the sound of nature is my morning serenade ☺️ I not only had a great start to my day, I was excited because I couldn’t wait to stop in @goodearthessentialsclt for some zero waste items I needed. It’s time for me to refill on some things so instead of refilling with the same non eco-friendly products, I use the opportunity to make the transition to eco, zero waste items that are vegan and cruelty-free. It’s easier to transition when the time comes to refill, rather than going all in at once before finishing up what you already have. Pop into my stories to get a peep 👀 at what a zero waste store looks like. A forewarning though, if you decide to visit a zero waste store near you, be sure to take containers and bags with you to shop with. I forgot mine! 😦 Thankfully, the owner of the store had paper bags ready to go for people like me who show up unprepared 🤦🏻‍♀️ By the way, did you know that July is plastic free month? Let’s work together on reducing our plastic usage - for our oceans and our planet. 🌎 One way to start is by reusing plastic containers you already have instead of adding to the landfill waste. You can do it! 👊🏼

Makes my day! 😍 And I don’t know if this is on purpose or not, but she always seems to send me pics with the fruit displayed and ready for Instagram as if she knows I’m going to post it. Lol 😂 I recently posted to my stories a pic she sent me with a bunch of mangoes on display from the mango tree in her backyard. Happy Father’s Day to all the dad’s doing thei Happy Father’s Day to all the dad’s doing their job - near or far.❤️ And to the dad’s who have passed, may they remind you that they are always with you no matter where you are.💖✨ Although I’m not able to be with my dad today, he knows that I’ll be seeing him again soon. It’s time for a photo roll refresh! Lol🙍🏻‍♂️ If you’re new here, when I’m in Florida, my dad is usually the one who helps me with shooting and filming. 🎥 And surprisingly, for someone who doesn’t have much patience, he sure has it when I need his help with the camera 📸 He will stick it out no matter what and is always ready to point and shoot!
