Natural Immune Boosting and Healing Remedy | Recipe

Spring is in the air and I am ready for some warm weather to start sticking as I am sure you are too! You might also be among the many worried about catching a virus or looking to prevent catching one. If so, continue reading… 

This natural, powerful remedy is potent, bursting with vitamin C and virus fighting properties, it will help boost your immune system and will blow those worrisome virus blues out of the water! It will also help you knock out any cold and flu symptoms you may be experiencing. 

I would highly suggest drinking this when you start to feel symptoms like itchy sore throat, itchy ears, runny nose, sneezing, headaches or any other cold related symptom wanting to make its way in…

OR if you’re feeling up to it, you can also use this as a preventative, which I like to use from time to time. You can never be too careful.

You don’t want to be bed ridden as warmer weather begins to approach, all because of some nasty cold or virus that you accidentally allowed in. You want to be ready and fully healthy to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and all the festivities that come along with it. 

Soooo, let’s get started on that remedy, shall we?

In this recipe, I’m using my Vitamix blender to make it easier for you to make since not everyone has a juicer – but almost everyone has a blender. This way, if you don’t have a juicer, you’ll still be able to make this remedy. It works either way. And putting these ingredients through the blender to make a smoothie type consistency, actually serves your body even better than a juice shot would.  

For the reason that you are retaining the fiber and maximizing on nutrients you wouldn’t otherwise get from a juice. This will greatly improve your chances of getting rid of anything you might have caught or preventing yourself from catching. 

I will warn you though, it’s not the most pleasurable taste which is why it’s best consumed as shot servings throughout the day. 

Immune Boosting & Healing Remedy Recipe

Go ahead and add in to your blender of choice… 

1 teaspoon of aluminum free baking soda – Baking soda helps to alkalize the body and bring the body back to homeostasis and neutralize it’s acidity levels with a good pH balance. 

The juice of 1 fresh squeezed lemon – Lemon is high in vitamin C and works magic with baking soda. 

2 navel oranges – Oranges are also high in vitamin C with the orange pith giving you just as much vitamin C as the orange fruit itself plus added fiber. So, here you’re doubling up on vitamin C. 

1 cucumber – Cucumbers are extremely hydrating and rich in antioxidants which helps protect the body against chronic illness and deterioration. 

¼ teaspoon of pepper – The pepper works to maximize absorption of curcumin in turmeric which is what helps reduce inflammation and neutralize oxidative stress.  

2 thumb size pieces of ginger – Ginger helps reduce nausea and fight cold and flu symptoms.

2 thumb size pieces of turmeric – A powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant when used with pepper.

And… 2 garlic cloves – Garlic serves as an antibiotic and also helps fight cold and flu symptoms.

All ingredients are highly beneficial to your health. 


Blend until smooth. If you don’t like it thick, simply add distilled water to the mix until you reach the desired consistency. You can also add a couple more oranges to give it a sweeter taste. 

Feel free to drink as much of this as you want but store the unused portion in an airtight mason jar at the very back of the fridge where it tends to stay the coldest. 

Wellness Tips

Keep in mind that in addition to this remedy, it is equally important to be conscious about washing your hands continuously to prevent from spreading germs. 

If you are not in a place to wash your hands, use an antibacterial sanitizer until you can wash your hands and keep a sanitizer on hand at all times. 

You don’t want to shake anyone’s hands, touch your face, or spread germs around your home without washing your hands first. Go straight to the sink and wash your hands when you walk in the house before touching anything or anyone. 

This is especially critical with kids because we all know that kids have a tendency of picking up and spreading germs much easier considering they are not always conscious of what they do or touch. 

Have a sanitizer at the entrance of your door at home so they can immediately sanitize if you’re not able to get them to the sink quick enough. This will help minimize the spreading of germs.
