Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of not being enough, fear of the unknown.

Fear is the most common obstacle that keeps us from pursuing what we truly want to achieve.

Here’s the thing…

If you let fear consume you, it can imprison you in what is comfortable and safe while impeding your growth and expansion. Never allowing you to evolve into the great being you were meant to be.

On the flipside, fear can also serve as a valuable purpose. Our superpower so-to-speak. How?

By helping us break through what is hindering our ability to achieve a life we truly love and deserve. Yep, if you open yourself up to it, fear can serve as your ultimate superpower also known as your motivator.

When you engrave in your mind that succeeding and achieving your goal is not an option and an absolute must, nothing else will matter and you will do whatever it takes to make it happen. No excuses or second guessing.

You see, the real fear isn’t FEAR itself, it’s the price you pay for not giving your goals and dreams absolute complete focus and energy.

When you become aware that the real fear lies in living a life where you have compromised your dreams and ultimately, settled for, you will begin to change the game.

So, how do you live a life where fear becomes your superpower and not your kryptonite? By putting a stop to allowing fear hijack your life and start using it, to create it.

Determining if your goal is an absolute MUST. Ask yourself what it would cost you if you do not push through your fear.  Is it a high price to pay or are you OK with it? If you’re not OK with it, then, you have a goal that you will do whatever it takes to achieve.

Acknowledge Your Excuses. Putting in the work is hard so we tend to push our dreams and aspirations aside so we can do what is easy. We begin to make excuses like, “There’s just not enough time”, “I’m too busy”, or “I can’t” and the list goes on. You get comfortable and feel safe behind them. But hiding behind your excuses will only take you back to where you started.

The better you get at acknowledging and becoming more conscious of your excuses, the better   you will get at nipping them in the bud.

Adopt a Growth Mindset. People tend to quickly give up on pursuing what they truly want because they convince themselves that reaching their goals is far beyond their capabilities. But, in order to succeed, you have to tell yourself a different story and establish a growth mindset.

How? By reprogramming your mind to believe that you are, in fact, capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. As a result, you become unstoppable and you keep on going until you find the solution that works.

Know that Pain is Your Friend. Painful experiences such as failure, disappointment, and set-backs are truly your friend and are there to serve you in helping you figure out what you want versus what you don’t want.  You will never face any circumstance you cannot handle. We are made to adapt. It’s what allows us to evolve and expand.  Take pride in the powerful being that you are and use each experience as a tool to figure out your absolute must haves instead of your shoulds.

This will allow you to take your life to the next level.

Know that Failure is Unavoidable. Whatever you set out to do, don’t expect perfection or smooth sailing. You will experience failure on the way to success.  It’s just a part of the process and your greatest teacher.  It’s in failing that you learn resilience. So, embrace it and know that where there is failure, there is growth.
