Self-Help Series: How to Tap Into Your Healing Power with EFT Tapping

So what is EFT? 

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), often referred to as EFT tapping, is an evidence-based self-help practice with over 100 studies that prove its effectiveness and results. It’s often used for anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, stress, insomnia, weight loss issues, and other issues. 

According to the founder of EFT, Gary Craig, when you tap on different parts of the body, it helps balance your energy while reducing physical and emotional pain. 

It’s a powerful way to tap into your healing power – Mind, body and spirit. 

How does it work? 

The practice of EFT is similar to acupuncture. It focuses on the body’s energy flow or meridian points as conceptualized in Chinese medicine. 

By tapping on these meridian points with your fingertips, you are helping your body recharge and restore the flow of energy that is potentially blocked or out of balance. In turn, helping you heal physically and emotionally. 

At the same time, it helps elevate mindfulness by drawing attention to your body and breath. This serves as a mental distraction away from the issues you may be experiencing related to stress or anxiety. 

A positive energy flow is the primary source for maintaining health and wellness. A slight imbalance in your energy’s vibration can trigger the onset of illness and disease – Mind, body and spirit. 

How to tap into your healing power

We each have the potential power to heal our mind and body. Not only through nutrition but by implementing healthy lifestyle practices into our lives – including alternative healing practices that help get the mind right and relieve tension. 

And if you don’t know this by now, stress is the #1 cause of illness and disease. So, first and foremost, getting your mind right is essential and should be your first priority to begin the healing process.
