There are many concerns that surround fruit sugar. Most of which stem from the constant reminders from the media that sugar is toxic and a hazard to our health. The problem is, sweet JUNK sugar does not fall into the same category as fruit sugar but somehow, there seems to be a misconception among healthcare professionals and the media.
So, what’s the difference?
Sugar from whole, natural, fresh fruit, promotes health and provides your body with all the necessary nutrients, vitamins, and minerals your body requires in order for it to thrive. It’s not processed or refined.
The refined, processed JUNK sugars do not. When these sugars are refined, they are stripped from the water, fiber, and all nutrients leaving only the sugar behind which in turn, gets added to high-fat foods that are already stimulating and disease-inducing.

The concerns people have when it comes to fruit sugar is real. Despite the fact that fruit has been treated as a health food throughout history, sadly, so many are under the impression that fruit is bad for our health.
On the contrary, it’s what our bodies were biologically designed to eat and thrive on. Humans are frugivores/vegetarians by nature. Eating whole, fresh fruit does not cause diabetes nor does it create high blood sugar. The key is to eat fruit on a low-fat diet. It’s when you eat fruit on a high-fat diet that creates problems in your system.
The American Diabetes Association states, “The use of added fructose as a sweetening agent is not recommended; however, there is no reason to recommend that people with diabetes avoid naturally occurring fructose in fruits, vegetables, and other foods.”
When your system is not overloaded with excess fat, the fruit sugar, including those of high-glycemic fruit, quickly and easily moves in and out of the bloodstream.
You see, eating a high-fat diet causes the sugar to get stuck in the blood. In turn, the body must work overtime; sometimes to a point of exhaustion, setting the stage for disease, in an attempt to move the sugar back out of the bloodstream. In the meantime, the sugar begins to back up in the blood, creating prolonged, elevated blood sugar that ends up wreaking havoc on your body in the form of candida, fatigue, diabetes, etc.
This is one of the biggest problems of eating a high-fat diet. So, you see, the problem isn’t the sugar alone, it’s the sugar in combination with high-fat foods that destroys your health.
There is nothing healthier than eating a diet that predominantly includes fresh, wholesome, organically grown raw living fruits and veggies for the live enzymes, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals your body requires for optimal health and vitality.
