Fall Essential Oils + Recipes

Fall is probably the season most look forward to for it’s cool, crisp, breath of fresh air autumn vibes. Don’t you agree?

For me, Fall is my favorite season of them all. It’s a nice cool-down to summer and a time to step back, shed all unwanted emotions, reconnect, self-reflect and immerse in self-care practices as we prepare to end the year and start the new.  

Especially as winter nears – Winter can take a toll on our mind and body in ways that can put a strain on our mental health and overall well-being. And while Fall is a beautiful and colorful time of year, it too can become dark and gloomy and with the COVID pandemic still in effect, emotional distress is on the rise.  

One of the things I like to do to cultivate wellness and boost my well-being is enhance my environment with essential oils and listen to relaxation music. Sure does set the tone for mindfulness and stress release – What do you think? Let me know in the comments below!

Oil combinations and recipe ideas

Cinnamon Bark 

As cooler temps start to make their way in throughout Fall and into winter, our skin starts to feel the effects – from dry hands to chapped lips. I’m always applying lip balm to my lips to keep from cracking. Can you relate? 

Here’s something I’ll be trying this season. It’s a DIY scrub for your lips that will boost hydration and help plump them up!

Plus, it’s got all the good-smelling autumn feels! 

Ingredients you will need:

Combine all ingredients together and store in a small mason jar. To use, simply just take a small amount and gently scrub on your lips for about 15-20 seconds. Wipe off with a soft, wet washcloth for plump and moisturized looking lips!


The cedarwood oil is great for hydrating and soothing to help minimize dryness, cracking and peeling. Something we all need during the colder months.  Simply add 1-2 drops of Cedarwood oil to your favorite moisturizer or blend in with a carrier oil such as coconut oil. Rub this simple mixture into your skin for immediate relief. 

Black Pepper

This one is not one you would naturally think to be essential but when added in, makes a perfect recipe for a Fall infused scent. It’s also known to help boost mental clarity and ease sore muscles. So adding it to a bath or massage oil, would also be ideal.

To get started, give this blend a try:

3 drops Black Pepper 

3 drops Blood Orange 

3 drops Cardamom 


For all things cozy filled with autumn vibes this DIY snuggle weather, warm and cozy room mist will boost your home with fall scent and make any room smell like a cup of freshly brewed Earl Grey tea!

Ginger Root

I’m a huge fan of ginger for healing stomach issues. It’s a root I’ve used in tea and has helped me heal some of the worse feeling cramps and stomach pains when I first transitioned to the raw vegan lifestyle. And, for a quick way to help relieve bloating and cramping, Ginger Root oil is ideal. 

Give it a whirl by adding a drop of Ginger Root to a carrier oil of your choice and massage gently over your tummy.😉

The good thing about these oils is that a few drops go a long way.
