Happy Monday and Earth Week sweet friend! This week I wanted to kick off the blog with some of my favorite eco-friendly Amazon finds. I’ve been diving into more eco-friendly and zero waste products that support the well-being of our planet and the animals and loving all I’ve been learning. It’s been fun focusing on the earth and the animals while discovering new things that benefit us all. And it’s all for the greater good!
I hope you’ve been enjoying it as much as I have. Now, just because it’s the last week for my earth month blog series, it doesn’t mean I’ll stop sharing what I learn and products I come across as I myself continue on this environmentally friendly and zero waste journey.
I may not be 100% but I am doing my best every day to incorporate a more eco-conscious mindset and it excites me to share it with you! 🙂
Keep in mind that you don’t have to transition your home overnight, just take mindful steps forward, one at a time, one day at a time.
Some of what I’ve transitioned to has been the All Natural Body Powder which I actually just bought a couple of days ago and now, just waiting on my Amazon delivery. I use powder in place of deodorant and well, powder with talc is toxic so I’ve removed that from my routine and added in a more eco-friendly, healthier option – talc-free.
In case you’re wondering, I don’t use deodorant because if I sweat, I like to sweat out the toxins and not have them build up under my skin. I use the powder to keep my underarms fresh and it feels great! I don’t get stinky because eating whole, organic, raw living plant-based foods keeps my body clean. You only stink when your body releases the acid and toxic waste built up in your body.
Much like the plumbing system in your home. If it backs up with toxic sludge/waste, it starts to stink because it’s not flowing out like it should. The same with your body when you don’t eat enough clean, raw living, plant-based foods; it too backs up and when it slowly releases the toxins, it releases the smells along with it too!
If you use deodorant, then the Coconut Vanilla Deodorant is a great all natural and eco-friendly option to opt for. 😉
Other items I’ve been using and absolutely love are the Dishwasher Tablets which work AMAZINGLY well and better than any other dishwashing detergent I’ve ever used which led me to stop using my dishwasher all together. Now, I love my dishwasher! Lol.
And if you’re ready for a home cleaning refill, this Home Cleaning Scrub is the absolute best! I am in love with the way this scrubs and cleans my bathroom tub and kitchen sink. It doesn’t even take much scrubbing, it lifts the dirt and grime so easily. Trust me, if you’re like me and don’t like to clean, this one will make your life so much easier!
So how do you make the transition?
Easy. Instead of ditching all that you already have and replacing everything all at once, you simply swap out the items you have now when it’s time to replace them – one at a time. This way it’s doable and it doesn’t break the bank all in one shot.
So if you see you’re running out of dish detergent, instead of buying the same one you’ve been using, opt for an eco-friendly, safe-for-the-environment product like this all natural, organic, vegan-friendly dish soap bar. I’ve been using Meliora dish soap and I love it but I want to try the dish soap bar to see how I like it. Don’t forget to get a soap holder like this Antimicrobial Soap Saver or Natural Wood Soap Holder to keep it in place. You’ll need something to place it on and both of these are great antimicrobial soap holders.
One thing about me is, I like to try different brands and products to see how they all work. Also because I like to switch things up from time to time and share my findings with you. It’s also a great way to see what works best for you and what doesn’t.
Remember, you don’t have to make the switch overnight. Take it one step at a time. Do the best you can with what you’ve got and buy just one thing at a time in accordance with your budget. Be proud of yourself for trying and making strides toward bettering the world, your life and the environment.
Mother earth and the animals are beyond grateful for your efforts.💚
