We are already reaching the end of the first month of the year. Crazy, huh?
Have you taken a step back to check in with yourself to see where you are with your New Year goals?
If you haven’t written them down in your planner, I highly recommend it. This way you have somewhere to keep track of them and hold yourself accountable. Otherwise, they are just floating around on pieces of paper that can and will potentially get lost or a notebook that will find its way back into a closed drawer. Never to be seen again.
Am I right or am I right? I know this because I’ve done this myself. All of it.
One of the biggest goals I set for myself this year is to get better with practicing self-care and writing down my gratitude thoughts. I have a tendency to get so lost in my day to day work that I forget all about taking care of the most important person… ME.
Which is why I decided to create my own Gratitude Journal and Self-Care Planner. This is why I can hold myself accountable all year long. No excuses! If we don’t take action toward our goals, they’ll result in nothing and at the end of the year, we’ll be back to where we started…
Solely “thinking” about what we “should” be doing rather than putting in the effort of the actual DOING.
So if you’re ready to start taking actionable steps toward your goals, I suggest you get on it NOW and stop the procrastination while you’re ahead.
You’re probably thinking….
“I just don’t think I can do it”
“I’ll start tomorrow”
“I don’t have time”
These are ALL excuses because if it was something that you truly wanted bad enough, you would find a way to make it happen. The truth is, you can ABSOLUTELY do it, no need to start tomorrow when you have TODAY, and you DO have time – we all have the same 24 hours in a day – it’s how we use our time that makes the difference.
The biggest obstacle
The one thing that always gets in the way of making any kind of progress or pursuing your goals and dreams, is YOU. We are all guilty of letting our minds get in the way of moving forward. We let our thoughts dictate what we do or don’t do. Most of the time, talking us out of what we want for whatever reasons.
Our minds are our greatest asset. We need to use it to our advantage and not let it go to waste on the toxic stuff.
So what should you do?
Shift. Your. Mindset. And, start practicing gratitude for what you do have versus complaining and feeling bad for what you don’t have. When we feel bad, we generate thoughts of doubt, fear and excuses. We add fuel to the fire when we should be building momentum toward the goals and dreams we want to achieve.
Start by practicing gratitude day in and day out. Write down in short simple sentences what you are most grateful for. Trust me, there is always something to be grateful for and when you start with just 3-5, more will continue to flow naturally. It’s hard not to stop once you get going. And, that’s the idea – To express as much gratitude as you can throughout the day for the most powerful results.
Expressing gratitude is the foundation for everything you desire to achieve. This is the most important and the #1 practice you need to make time to incorporate if you want to see results.
I’ve made it simple for you with my Gratitude Journal which also comes with a “How to Use This Journal” page. You can write down your gratitude thoughts in as little as 5 minutes. That’s it! Be sure to check it out.
I’ve been following Dr. Vitale for years. He’s been a huge inspiration for me. One in which I’ve learned a lot from. He’s an expert in the Law of Attraction. You may have seen him in the movie, The Secret. You can also see The Secret’s Dare to Dream movie on Amazon Prime to see it in action. This is one of my favorite movies. Such an eye opener. You’ll love it!
